i was washed away with the beauty and overwhelmed with the elegance of the night
a thousand fireflies dancing with each other to the music the night spelled out
your love swirled across my soul and took hold of me
you danced me into a fine frenzy until gravity was flipped right side up
i couldn't focus my eyes to anything but your brilliance
a carousel holds a beauty to a child like a baby holds a wonder to a mother

a starlight captures a child's wish-i-may wish-i-might
like your artistry allured my creativity's delight
paint me a new picture that my imagination could never dream of
